a. That UN Youth New South Wales held the Grand Final of the ‘Voice NSW’ public speaking competition at NSW Parliament on 15 November 2013
b. That the competition was held over the course of five weeks, through multiple heats and finals at schools and public venues across New South Wales
c. That the competition involved high school students from years 7-10 advocating and defending their own creative solutions to complex global issues such as women’s education, climate change, and involving young people in politics.
2. That this house congratulates:
a. UN Youth New South Wales for its ongoing hard work in engaging students on contemporary global issues, noting that the organisation is entirely run by young people under the age of 25
b. All competition participants for their valuable contributions to this fantastic event.
